July 11th, 2019 (SOLD OUT)
”There is beauty in all chaos”. This is something that has helped me thrive in my photography business in photographing families. I can count on one hand all the easy sessions I’ve had. Yes, it is rare and guess what? I love the chaos and that unknown part of family photography and it’s what others are terrified of. If this is you, I’m here to help you take action and learn steps to create beautiful family portraits even if a child is screaming in the photo.
Here is what we will learn and topics covered in the time you’ll spend with me:
Preparing your clients for an incredible experience. I’ll teach you step by step, what I do before my sessions to get to know the family and how this helps children and their parents feel more relaxed.
Location scouting for your clients. How many of you have clients who find a location for you? Then you stress about what the light will be like? No more! I’ll share with you how I pick the location.
Camera Setting - The benefits of shooting Kelvins WB, apertures, shutter speeds and more!
Lighting- I truly believe lighting transforms an image into something that was great to absolutely breathtaking. I’ll teach you how I use light to help capture a beautiful story.
Posing - Posing a family is my absolute favorite thing. I’ll help you train your eyes to find unique, heartfelt feelings in an image and also how to make a photo even better with one easy step that never fails me! NEVER!
Editing + Workflow! I’ll share with you how I edit an image from start to finish! I’ll share all my preset settings and I even own so many presets that I can help you find your style and a preset that fits you.
2 SHOOTS!! 2! One will take place inside a beautiful home with an adorable family. The second shoot will be up in the mountains in Logan Canyon at my favorite location with all the beautiful wildflowers with another family. During the shoots, I’ll allow you to watch me shoot with your cameras down. This is so you’re able to take in information and see how I direct and interact. Then I’ll give you a chance to shoot over my shoulder while I direct.
Food will be included. If you have food allergies or restrictions, please let me know! I’m happy to accommodate! And don’t feel like you’re putting me out! I have a little boy severely allergic to dairy and I’m currently egg, gluten and dairy free! So I get it!
Access to the Finding Joy In Chaos FB Group!
I’ll only have 10 seats open.
Seats will be live here at this page, Wednesday, March 27th at 9am (MTS) Set your alarms!! These seats sold out in 2.5 hours last time.
I can’t wait to teach and become friends with all of you!

Wow, where do I begin! I’ve looked up to BreAnne and her beautiful work for years now. She captures such sweet emotion and connection with her families. I’ve watched her account for the last couple of years praying she may one day offer mentoring or maybe even teach other photographers in some way shape or form. Never did I imagine I would be able to attend her very first workshop!! What a blessing! As soon as she posted that she would be offering a workshop my alarm was set! I didn’t skip a beat and the minute registration opened I was in!
Once registered I was so eager to attend and I imagined all I would be able to learn from BreAnne. For a minute I worried if one day would be enough. Was it ever! I learned so much in this one day workshop!! Not only did BreAnne walk us through her ENTIRE process from start to finish we also walked through many of her galleries discussing how to deal with clients and covered posing throughly. There’s so much more too ... we had the chance to ask all the questions and take as many notes as needed. In addition, we had not one but FOUR separate shoots scheduled both indoor and outdoor! Wow!!
For anyone considering this class just push the buy button you will NOT regret it! She will even feed you some really yummy food! BreAnne is one of the sweetest photographers I’ve met and I’m so thankful to have been able to learn and shoot along side her. She will give you all the information you need and answer any question you have! She is completely inspiring and you will walk away feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the world! In my opinion this workshop is worth way more than priced. You’ll see... BreAnne just really cares about you and wants you to be the best you can be! - Genevieve Rodriguez
BreAnne Weston is phenomenal. I can’t even find the right words to describe how wonderful she and her workshop was. I began following BreAnne early on on my photography career, and never stopped following. Her images are so full of life, joy, fun and even sadness. It’s all real, it’s all beautiful. You can tell with one look at her work that the emotion from her families is not being faked, and that is what drew me to her work.
When I saw BreAnne first mention the idea of a workshop solely based on families, I was hooked. I told my husband “no matter the cost, I’m in!”. He fully supported and the moment the workshop was available, I reserved my spot.
I was so nervous that the experience wouldn’t be held up to the standard I had created in my head, but it did. And more so. BreAnne completely believes in community over competition. She wants all families to have beautiful, real moments captured and wants anyone whose ready to learn from her to be able to capture those moments. No question was unanswered at the end of the day.
She went over her whole process from start to finish. From what she says to her clients beforehand, to camera settings, posing, games, editing and more.
I’m so glad I was able to attend and leave feeling like I can do it! Nothing she taught felt unattainable or overwhelming. It’s all in the simple things she does that beautiful moments and images happen.
Thank you BreAnne! - Chelsea Frandsen
